Hello, my name is Azyah Fair. I am in the class of 2025 currently attending Newark School of Global Studies in Newark, New Jersey. I attend Newark School of Global Studies in order to pursue learning Mandarin. At the moment, I am in an after school club named “Stand and Deliver.” Stand and Deliver helps build the confidence in order to stand in front of others and say, or, act whatever it is we may be delivering. It also gives us a great opportunity to earn a scholarship for participating in the club. Writing is something that interests me because it allows me to ease whatever may roam in my mind and put it on paper, which then allows me to touch others. I also have an interest in musical theater. Musical theater forces me to push past my comfort zone. Musical theater is also a distraction from the world’s outside issues. I believe that expression through art is a great experience.

Congratulatory Messages For Azyah Fair

Congratulations Azyah, You are a shinning start. Keep on shinning in every corner of your life

The Governor’s Awards in Arts Education began in 1980 to promote awareness and appreciation of the arts, recognizing the creativity, talent and leadership of the award winners. Each year, awards are presented to approximately 20 educators and 80 students. National and statewide organizations select the students for their exemplary work in creative writing, speech, dance, music, theatre and visual arts and the leaders for their exceptional commitment and contribution to arts education. The program also recognizes arts educators and arts education advocates, whose leadership has helped nurture the development of students in the arts across the state.
