Brianna Roberts
NJ STATE CONFERENCE OF THE NAACP ACT-SO PROGRAM – Performing Arts – Vocal Classical
Brianna Roberts is an 18-year-old senior at Ewing High School in Ewing, New Jersey. She is the founder and president of Ewing High School’s first Black Student Alliance and is involved in the International Thespian Society and represents New Jersey as a Student Thespian Officer. She has been recognized nationally as a winner of the International Thespian Society Thespy’s for Musical Theatre Solo. Brianna to further her education in Musical theatre and will be studying it in college with a double major in marketing. She is also a pianist and enjoys writing music, poems, going to church, and giving back to her community. Roberts is currently in the process of finalizing a non-profit organization to help women access free sanitary napkins. She a first generation Jamaican-American and her parents have shown her through example the importance of hard work when striving to achieve excellence. With them as her role models, she is proud to represent the Trenton, New Jersey NAACP ACT-SO Branch. She placed Gold in the 2018 and 2019 Local Competiton in Music Vocal Contemporary and Classical and received an honorable mention in poetry performance and competed at the National Competition in San Antonio, Tx in July 2018 and Detroit, Michigan in 2019. She is excited to compete for her last year and is excited about all of the opportunities to come.
